During the spring term, Year 5 are going ‘Out of this World!’ We’ll be learning all about space in our Topic and Science lessons, enhancing this learning with a visit to the Winchester Science Museum.
In English, we’re studying the books ‘Hidden Figures’ and ‘Cosmic’ and will use these texts as a focus for developing our writing, which will include narrative and well as non-fiction, starting with biographies.
In Art, we are learning about the work of Georgia O’Keeffe, and will be using inspiration from her work to create our own watercolour pieces later this half term.
Our fitness skills are being put to the test in PE as we imrpove our core strength to support us in various team games, and we will continue to develop our learning across the curriculum in our enrichment afternoons on a Wednesday.
