Our Autumn Learning

In our classrooms this term the children will be exploring the topic of Natural Disasters! This is a Geography-heavy topic that will allow the children investigate the power of the natural world and take a trip around the world. One of the main countries that we focus on is Japan.

The text that we are going to be reading is 'Kensuke's Kingdom' by Michael Morpurgo - a coming of age tale about a boy who is shipwrecked on an island and finds a little more than he bargained for. This text will form the basis of our writing and much of our English lessons. In Maths, we will be focusing on place value and enhancing our use of the four operations to ensure we have solid foundations to build upon.
