Objectives of the Sports Premium

Key objectives include:

  • Engaging pupils in regular physical activity and promoting healthy lifestyles

  • Raising the profile of PE and sport across the school

  • Improving staff skills and confidence in teaching PE

  • Broadening the range of sports and activities offered

  • Increasing participation in competitive sport and extra curricular clubs

How We Use the Sport Premium

We use the Sports Premium to make lasting improvements to our PE and sport provision by:

  • Expanding our PE and sports offerings

  • Investing in equipment and facilities

  • Providing staff training and development

  • Introducing new sports and coaching to enhance enjoyment

  • Running after-school clubs 

  • Embedding physical activity throughout the school day

  • Ensuring improvements are sustainable for future pupils


Impact on Pupils

The Sports Premium has a positive and wide-reaching impact on our pupils by:

  • Building resilience and teamwork skills through clubs and teams

  • Enhancing physical fitness and wellbeing

  • Helping pupils feel valued and included

  • Boosting confidence in children who may otherwise disengage from PE

Swimming at least 25M unaided, competently and safely out of 60 pupils = 33 out of 60 pupils = 55%. 45 out of 60 pupils =75%. 28 out of 60 pupils =47%.
Perform a range of different strokes out of 60 pupils = 18 out of 60 pupils = 30%  43 out of 60 pupils =72%. 27 out of 60 pupils =45%.
Perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations out of 60 pupils = 48 out of 60 pupils = 80%  41 out of 60 pupils = 68%. 17 out of 60 pupils =28%.
