School Lunches

Children learn best when they have a healthy lunch!

Dolce provide free hot meals to our children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 as part of the government's universal school meals programme, and to children in Key Stage 2 who are eligible for free school meals. Parents of other children in Key Stage 2 may purchase a meal.

All meals must be pre-ordered online at www.livekitchen.co.uk. Parents of children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 are automatically sent a username and password to access Live Kitchen.

If you are interested in purchasing a meal for a child in Key Stage 2 you will need to visit www.live-kitchen.co.uk/direct and set up a direct debit. This does not commit you to purchase a meal and you will only be charged for any meals you do purchase (this could be a meal everyday, one or two meals a week or even just a one off meal to try them).

Please note the school office is unable to accept cash payments for school meals.

Milk and Fruit

Children are also encouraged to eat fruit at breaktimes and drink water throughout the day. Children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 will be provided with a piece of fruit each day. Children in Early Years are also provided with milk until they are 5. If you would like your child to receive milk after this you can purchase this at a subsidised rate through www.coolmilk.com. Children who are eligible for free school meals (not universal free meals for KS1 and Early Years) are also eligible for free milk.

If you choose to provide your child with packed lunch please ensure it is healthy, including plenty of fruit and vegetables and a non-fizzy drink. Energy drinks are not suitable for children. Children must not bring flasks of hot drinks, soup or hot food to school.

Free School Meals

Families in receipt of certain benefits can apply for Free School Meals. If you would like to apply for Free School Meals please complete the form below and return it to the school office. You do not need to supply any proof and all applications are treated in confidence. If you believe that you are eligible for a free school meal, even if your child will be receiving a meal anyway because they are in Early Years or Key Stage 1, please complete the application form. The school receives additional funding called pupil premium for children eligible for free school meals. We use this funding to support and raise achievement and you can find out have we spent this funding last year, here. Your child will also receive free milk and you may be eligible for additional support with other costs such as music lessons.
