Your child will be given homework, which should last for about 10 minutes each night. If your child is enjoying the task and would like to spend longer on it, please do encourage them to do this, however if the task is causing great difficulty, please let the teacher know so that further support can be given in school. It helps if you can find your child a quiet area to work in at home with an adult at hand to provide words of encouragement!! All this will ensure that your child makes even greater progress and develops the necessary skills to become an independent and enthusiastic learner.
We hope this will help to ensure a stronger partnership between home and school and if there is ever any contribution you feel happy to make, please do pop in and let us know, either by visiting the school office and talking to Mrs Watson or by calling in to see the class teacher at the end of a school day.
